Netsuite <-> Fastpath Assure




As a Netsuite administrator I usually get follow up from my audit team regarding the changes and activites that have been happening in the Netsuite account.


Where I use to track the changes and add supporting ticket for the changes that have been done. In other cases I have to follow up with the other users to get the purpose of the change and business approval.


With Fastpath Assure, NetSuite administrators can set up real-time monitoring and alerts for specific events or changes. This ensures that any unauthorized or suspicious activities are immediately flagged, allowing administrators to take swift action to address potential issues and maintain.

With Fastpath one can keep track of your most critical businsess settings in Netsuite i.e Company Information, Company Preferences (includes changes to the Accounting Preferences page) & Enable Features.

System Configuration :

 Configuration and preferences can have a significant impact on how financial transactions flow through the system and impact business processes. Users can identify changes to configuration and preference-related pages like Enable Features, Accounting Preferences, Company Information, and General Preferences by running a saved search against the ‘System Note’ record type and adding a filter to the ‘Record Type’ field to look for changes to the following record types:

6. Employee data and payroll changes:

Fastpath allows you to monitor changes to employee records, such as personal information, salary adjustments, and benefits. This ensures the accuracy of your HR data and assists in maintaining compliance with various labor regulations and data privacy standards.

7. Custom object and record changes:

Fastpath Assure can track changes made to custom objects and records within NetSuite, helping you ensure data integrity and maintain proper system functionality.

8. Script and code changes:

Fastpath can monitor changes to scripts and code used within your NetSuite environment, such as SuiteScripts or customizations. This helps reduce the risk of unauthorized changes, which could compromise your system's security or functionality.

How can I connect netsuite with fastpath ?

Connecting NetSuite with Fastpath Assure involves a few steps, which include installing the Fastpath Assure Bundle within NetSuite and setting up the integration. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you through the process:

1. Obtain the Fastpath Assure Bundle ID:

To begin, you'll need to obtain the Fastpath Assure Bundle ID from the Fastpath support team or your Fastpath account representative. This ID will be used to locate and install the bundle within NetSuite.

2. Log in to your NetSuite account:

Sign in to your NetSuite account with administrator privileges to access the necessary settings for installing the bundle.

3. Install the Fastpath Assure Bundle:

Navigate to the "Customization" menu in NetSuite, then select "SuiteBundler" and click on "Search & Install Bundles". In the search bar, enter the Fastpath Assure Bundle ID you obtained earlier and click "Search". Locate the bundle in the search results, then click on the bundle name and select "Install". Follow the prompts to complete the installation process.

4. Configure the Fastpath Assure Bundle:

Once the bundle is installed, you'll need to configure the Fastpath Assure Bundle settings within NetSuite. Navigate to the "Setup" menu, then select "Fastpath" and click on "Integration Setup". Here, you'll need to enter the required information, such as your Fastpath Assure instance URL, API key, and any other necessary details. Make sure to save your settings once you've entered the required information.

5. Set up data synchronization:

Fastpath Assure needs to synchronize data from your NetSuite account to function correctly. To set up data synchronization, navigate to the "Fastpath" menu under "Setup", then click on "Data Synchronization". Follow the on-screen instructions to configure the data synchronization settings, such as scheduling sync frequency and selecting the data types to sync.

6. Assign roles and permissions:

To ensure that the appropriate users have access to Fastpath Assure features, you'll need to assign Fastpath-specific roles and permissions within NetSuite. Navigate to "Setup" > "Users/Roles" > "Manage Roles" in NetSuite, and assign the appropriate Fastpath roles to users who will be using the Fastpath Assure features.

7. Verify the integration:

Once you've completed the setup process, it's essential to verify that the integration is functioning correctly. You can do this by logging into your Fastpath Assure account and ensuring that your NetSuite data is accurately reflected within the Fastpath dashboard and reports. You should also test the various Fastpath features, such as audit trail monitoring and access controls, to confirm they are working as expected.

8. Configure additional Fastpath Assure features (optional):

Depending on your organization's requirements, you may want to configure additional Fastpath Assure features, such as customizing the dashboard, setting up real-time alerts, or tailoring specific audit trail monitoring settings. Consult the Fastpath Assure documentation or work with your Fastpath account representative to ensure you are leveraging the full potential of the tool.
